user-built functions

I would use the built in function however it doesnt do what I want it to do in most cases. However its good for currently displayed items like news, blogs, etc. but not for what I need it for :p

also as for the function really I actually wouldnt use it too much cause I have a class for such thats alot shorter than that which he provided with the extensive lines of ifs and whatnot.

that sounds like an even worse thing to do.

It would be great for anyone expert to list the builtin functions, the pre-built ones within PHP, as I'm new to this field, I need to understand ech of these, thanks anyway
