I think the message on all new topics is good, but I personally would find a message always on the homepage very irritating.

If anyone does do that, can you put it in a div with an id so I can ad-block it

That's not what is meant. It's about using [php]echo 'code here';[/php] to display code in a readable way.

Exactly, the new topic stuff doesn't seem to help very much, atleast one guy didn't encase his code like 5 times, and there have been other newcomers.
They probably read, "Before You Post" and think "I don't need to know, am so super awesome."
